Rapid data acquisition

The infrastructure makes available advanced schemes for NMR data acquisition. Traditional sampling schemes comprise unnecessarily tedious data acquisition whereas the methods that recently have been developed at the Swedish NMR centre allows a tremendously much faster acquisition based on non-uniform procedures. Combined with a “targeted acquisition” procedure, where all spectra are sampled simultaneously, and executed until the desired number of signals has been identified, an extremely efficient platform for protein structure analysis is available. The complete process including sample production, data acquisition and spectral analysis, can be compressed from several weeks into a period of a few days. One of the goals is to make this protein structure platform available to a broader scientific community, not only to the dedicated NMR groups, but also to scientists focusing on different areas of life sciences, and where structure information of structurally and functionally previously unknown proteins suddenly becomes within reach.
